We’ve been asked to share more about Peanut’s adoption story, how it happened, why we said yes, and what it’s been like parenting a child with unique and complex needs.

This isn’t just an adoption story.

It’s about a little girl we didn’t know we needed, but God knew we couldn’t live without.

We weren’t looking to adopt. We especially never imagined raising a child with special needs.

We were still healing, still figuring out marriage, still parenting through our own imperfections.

But when Peanut came into our lives, everything shifted.

She wasn’t just a new addition to our family

She was the beginning of a new story.

One we didn’t write ourselves. One we still don’t fully understand.

But it is a story that we can clearly see God slowly writing.

We want to share her story from the beginning.

We’ll start with the early whispers, the quiet stirrings in our hearts.
